You should assign a role based on what the user needs to access. Review the role description and permission list to match it with the user's responsibilities.

Can I copy or duplicate an existing role instead of creating one from scratch?
Many users prefer this. If supported, you can clone an existing role and adjust its permissions, saving time.

If I change permissions for a role, will it affect existing users already assigned to it?
Yes, any update you make to a role’s permissions automatically applies to all users assigned to that role.

How do I check what exact permissions a specific role has?
Click on the Permissions button for the role to view all allowed actions, visibility rights, and module-level controls.

Yes, you can either assign the user to another role with limited access or adjust key permissions temporarily.
